  1. Past hour
  2. Whoala, we clearly can't call Thorium a clone of Supermium.
  3. Today
  4. nope. removing installation entry in registry and it worked for me. tested startallback in 26200 and its ok. taskbar not affected for now.
  5. Nightly build 2023-07-18-09-25-38 is the latest one that works. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2023/07/2023-07-18-09-25-38-mozilla-central/
  6. You can use XnView Classic to browse images. In the Thumbnails view use Tools... > Search... > Include subfolders. Once the search is complete, click browse to see thumbnails in a flat list that spans multiple directories. The program has limited editing & batch conversion functionality. It is a respected graphics tool with a long history. I'm not familiar with Picasa.
  7. I see, but did you click anywhere in the site once in a while? That's when the ads' reports come or when ads from aliexpress are opened. Btw, the site igg-games.com suffers from the same situation.
  8. I wonder if the compat block has been updated to include a version number instead of just StartAllBack*.exe. I'm installing this build now. I'll update with a screenshot from Compatibility Administrator once it is installed. Update, same hardblock:
  9. Again off-topic, but the faulty file open dialogue has been fixed on the latest version of Thorium, so I guess Supermium will not be far behind!
  10. The new 122.0.6261.168 version of Thorium seems to be working fine. One thing I have found is that it generated a folder in my profile folder called 'Screen_AI'. This appears to be a Google AI thing which it presumably downloaded in the background. Unfortunately, whatever it is, it doesn't work on XP, just generating errors in my Windows System event log whenever Thorium is started. Looking at other Chrome browsers, there should be an option in the settings to switch off this AI stuff, but that option is not there in Thorium, and I can't find any relevant flags to disable it either. I have worked around it by simply disabling chrome_screen_ai.dll by re-naming it.
  11. putty, bitviseSSH and WinSCP have been updated. Subject to further use, all seem to work fine in XP.
  12. Less memory usage problems certainly, but the jury's out as far as I'm concerned at the moment.
  13. Fixed in the next version, I shall to publish it upon a week most likely Great to hear such news! I'm really looking forward to the upcoming release.
  14. Fixed in the next version, I shall to publish it upon a week most likely
  15. My oldest disks now have 140,000 hours. The counters for ST2000VN and ST200VX have reset again! You can see that the current percentage rating is 86 and the worst it has ever been is 11. They don't seem to want to enter a leaderboard? The error count is from a bad cable (ST3320) and use of the HDAT2 tool (ST2000) where DMA was not correctly implemented.
  16. Yes, there's now a thread about it.
  17. FWIW it's the same in Thorium, perhaps not surprisingly!
  18. NTLDR is missing message comes from the OS itself, so this means it can see the disk. This message means that the BIOS did the hand-off to the disk, read the boot .ini and found where the OS is, but the path did not resolve. So the first thing to do is to check the boot .ini and see what is in there. One example of a situation where a BIOS update can cause this is if the OS volume where Windows is located had its drive letter change. Such as if you are using multiple hard disk and Windows is in D: a BIOS change could cause the re-enumeration of volumes and D: is now E:, etc. If it is a situation where your OS was on C: but now that volume is a different letter, then it may be better off reverting that BIOS version again as the Windows installation could have problems with the drive letter changing. NOTE: The forum will not let you type in the term I put in bold above without a space. You will get an error if you try to submit a post without the space. EDIT: I'd also like to report that while the retroweb (site linked earlier) is good for information, I find their software to be lacking. That site does not take into account board revisions such as is common with Microstar boards which means this issue will likely exist for other brands. That would be a reason why a BIOS update may fail. Also I've yet to find any drivers on there that have worked. For example, ones that are marked for Windows 95 requiring different OS like XP, or 32bit options are 64bit versions, etc.
  19. It's a bug ,I told to the developer some days ago
  20. In contrast to UXP browsers such as New Moon 28, all current Chrome browsers are extremely limited and restricted. Webextensions don't have the permissions that legacy extensions have. This is one of the main reasons why I avoid Chrome browsers when I can. Nevertheless, provide a link to the YouTube video where ads are still shown despite blocking by uBO!
  21. I am using 360Chrome 13.5.1030. However, this should not be the problem, as the Windows XP certificates are being used. And ISRG Root X2 is not available here. Only ISRG Root X1. Is ISRG Root X2 present in your root certificates?
  22. I definitely do here! I've reverted to using "AdBlock — best ad blocker" running ONE list in conjuction with uBO running only FIVE lists. The "AdBlock — best ad blocker" apparently blocks YouTube ads differently because uBO will SHOW the ad for a split second, if not more, before skipping the ad. uBO will prevent the ad from PLAYING but it still SHOWS the ad. At least for Chromium-based.
  23. If you compare the behaviour of the legacy extension with the webextension, you should only use the same filter lists in both. And you also have to look at which filter lists you combine with each other in order to achieve an optimum result. But one thing is clear. The legacy extension lags almost 6 years behind the webextension in terms of development. This means that the latter uses a much more advanced filter engine than the legacy version. I have opened the website www.ovagames.com again by New Moon 28 with a fully configured uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.35. No problems here. No additional pop-ups or any other ads. Surfing there is easy and smooth.
