  1. Past hour
  2. It doesn't for me, though it does work in XP+Supermium.
  3. f*** GFW, we download from github is so slow
  4. BTW I think you can push your changes to your repo so people can re-use your effort.
  5. What are we looking for? I didn't notice any particular warnings about filterlist incompatibilities. When updating filter lists in the legacy extension, you will see many entries in the logger considered invalid filters by uBO. At least, I see them.
  6. In theory yes but practically no. And who will do that? As @UCyborg and me already stated, uBlock Origin is one of the most complex extensions. He called it rightly a "beast" that is difficult to tame. And it is hard work to implement or port such improvements from the webextension. Therefore, we have to use more and good filter lists to get similar results in blocking at the moment when using the legacy extension. This is my assessment so far. We will see what happens in the future.
  7. https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium-legacy/releases I did not make a screenshot of the whole page, there is a whole mountain of text.
  8. Today
  9. @Dave-H Thorium has the setting you need, in chrome://flags #close-window-with-last-tab toggle to "Never" and the browser will no longer shut down when you close the last tab.
  10. I don't find this version, where did you find it? by the way ,you can usd sm.ms and the other to upload picture and send here
  11. If the problem is XP, why does it work with an older MyPal 28.3?
  12. @hidao : Refer to: https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1263668 that I posted already ; use a translator if the Release Notes in English is difficult for you to digest ...
  13. You have the wrong version downloaded, for XP you need to download Thorium_122.0.6261.168_WINXP_x32.zip. In the unpacked folder run thorium.exe or run one of cmd for installation or portable mode.
  14. I download Thorium and extract it ,but how can I use it?
  15. It doesn't require hardware acceleration. Even a C2D has enough performance to open 1080p h265. You need h265 in mp4 to test it. But I've already checked, the h265 video does open. Tested in Win XP.
  16. ... Well. you don't really have to own a GFX card with HEVC H/W decoding support to test; S/W HEVC decoding by the browser should suffice; navigate to https://tools.woolyss.com/html5-audio-video-tester/ and if the two HEVC entries are coloured in green, then support is implemented: (PS: Raw HEVC decoding support is not sufficient in itself for the above test; encapsulation of it inside the MP4 media container is also required...)
  17. More lists enabled = the slowest your broswer is Also, like i said, you dont need a lot of lists to block an ad, just the adblocker needs to be improved. Sampei.Nihira/AstroSkipper - fanboy's ultimate list has Easylist, EasyPrivacy, Fanboy's Annoyances List (Which blocks anti-adblock, cookies, social media stuff) so i believe i'm pretty much protected from a lot of stuff.
  18. To block most elements or objects whatever they are, you surely need more filter lists in the last legacy versions of uBlock Origin than in the webextension. A lot of filters are consindered invalid by the legacy extension due to the old filter engine which lags almost 6 years behind the webextension in terms of development. Open the logger and perform an update of your filter lists in the legacy version! Then you will see what I am talking about. In any case, I get a lot of notifications about invalid filters when checking the logger. But one thing I can say without any further proofs. You are using too few filter lists to block as much as possible with the legacy extension.
  19. Hi to all. In addition to ads you should also consider trackers. Here is why UBO should be used for its wide-spectrum blocker capabilities: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Blocking-mode
  20. 360 emphasizes that the certificate removal strategy even includes root certificates trusted by the operating system. Of course, the browser cannot delete the system root certificate but blacklists the certificate itself.
  21. I'm confused, so this cert updater programme stuffs the cert store with China certs?
  22. I don't know about that, I don't have h265 capable hardware to check, sorry.
