Guys, I have GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L mainboard and similar problem installing fresh XP with AHCI enabled. Do you know what should be changed in IAAHCI.INF and OEMTEXT files to enable ICH10 (NOT ICHI10R!). I would like to install using F6 method and do not want to go with nLite preparing integrated distribution. BTW, that is GREAT thread. Finally I was able to understand what is root of the problem, which is not explained by Gigabyte and Intel.
