Yeah, its crazy, but I thought it would be cool also, Something like Beethoven's fur Elise.rmi I know it can be done with a simple start cmd, but how do I do it without media player popping up?? If this is too weird a question, I understand.

This forum is for Application Installs.
If anyone finds a way to play an audio file silently then I will be grateful to them! I don't think it's possible.
Unless the media player is text based, then you can use cmdow @ /HID and then open the player in the batch file with a media file.

You can try to use autoit to start media player with the window hidden but i dont know if it accepts paramaters like : "wmplayer c:\test.mp3" just check it out

Thanks for the replys, I'll give them a shot. I played with this for hours last night tring different commands and switches, but every test, media player popped up.
BTW, I didn't make this clear in my first post, but the idea was to have background music playing while applications are being installed thru runonce.

@IceBlackIce wmplayer.exe c:\test.mp3 is the parameters used for the UI. With every media player and any app that you can open files with (almost) it opens as app.exe c:\filename.ext
