Is there a way to launch photoshop/Illustrator in some sort of safe-mode (not loading plugins/fonts etc) or any tweaks to have it load fast?

I would like to automate the registration (legally ofcourse), but that load only needs the app to run, no extras.

Use 10,000rpm hard drives...

Thank you for your reply jcarle, though I was thinking more of software wise solutions, like disabling plugins for Photoshop by adding ~ (tilde) to the folders inside Plug-Ins dir, removing fonts etc.

I've been a Photshop user for 10yrs and I've never heard of a safe mode.

jcarle has it right, the faster the hard drive the better, thats the only cure I know of.

Ok, well then I'm on my own hehe.

A manual "no-plugins" mode for photoshop is explained above, renaming plugins to ~* with batch or similar, will make photoshop boot fast.

As for illlustrator moving the following dirs out of Plug-ins folder will give you a "safe-mode" like launch.

Illustrator Filters
Photoshop Effects
Photoshop Filters
Photoshop Formats
Text Filters
Tools

Also for both apps reducing number of installed fonts on system will boost the app launch.
