I just downloaded the latest Update for Outlook 2003 Junk E-mail Filter (KB906173) Tried to install it, but got this window. It's supposed to be an administrative update. Why does it ask for the CD? How can i avoid this, so that i can make a silent install, using the /QB switch ?
boooggy
u have to slipstream it. u cant install it silent cause it will ask for the pro11.msi from office cd.....
for slipstream instruction use google............ tongue.gif
Nucleus
What if i put it in the same folder as office. Wont it detect PRO11.MSI automatically and continue?
Nucleus
Any way of installing office updates, without slipstreaming?
maxximum
All office updates can be applied without slipstreaming.
- uncompress update
- edit "ohotfix.ini" to change settings for UA install
- apply update by running "ohotfix.exe"

Tested & validated with following KBs :

Seems that all ohotfix.ini files are the same. If you've already been through the process, could you tell me the correct ohotfix.ini settings for a silent installation?

Thanks
Nucleus
Well, no ohotfix.ini editing was needed afterall. This did the job
