Does anybody know of any silent switches for Blizzard game updates? I sent out an email to Blizzard, but they said to use the Battle.net updater.

I want to install patches for Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 silently with a batch file...is this possible?

**EDIT:
As a side note, I am also looking for silent switches for the following games:
America's Army
Battlefield (1942, Vietnam, 2)
Call of Duty (orig and UO)
Command and Conquer (orig and Zero Hour)
Star Wars Battlefront
Starcraft (orig and Broodwars)
UT2K3
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War

Any silent switches for these games would be very much appreciated....thanks.

I'm kind of at my whit's end making these silent installs. wacko.gif

Hahahahaha!!! When I saw the topic title of this thread, I thought it was something about software piracy. laugh.gif

Anyways, I don't have those softwares, but I think most of them use InstallShield.

Ya, they do use install shield (or something similar), but I just want to bypass that and update all my Blizzard games "behind the scenes" with a mass batch.

A lot of other updates have command prompt switches, I'm just surprised that no one knows of any for Blizzard games...

well you could manually dload the patch, then use autoit to have it click stuff. why dont you just create a partition and install ur games on that so that you dont need to go through that crap? that what i do, i still play warII, warIII, and starcraft broodwar smile.gif

The problem with that is that most games us the registry, so it rather voids the use.

I attached my script that install latest zero hour patch (rename it to .exe from .txt), just put the patch file in the same folder as the script and run it (make sure the patch is called "setup.exe" so it can be run

well for the blizzard games it doesnt matter. and if he rly wanted to then he could just save the registry keys for the games and then add them after he install xp

@ender341: My antivirus goes nuts when I attempt to download your file...It says it's a Trojan virus and wants to delete it.

I don't know if I feel comfortable using it...

@ripken234: I have a lot of machines to update with this same game on them and I did d/l the manual update for installation. I just wondered if there was an easy and "silent" way to install these manual updates.

Basically, sit at my server and push out one batch file to all the PCs with all updates included in it to install without any user intervention.

Sorry, I can't put a second partition on my PCs.newwink.gif

But, where can I find this "autoit" program you referred to?
EDIT:
Nevermind...I found the autoit program...thanks for the heads-up!
