Where is the DiVX Pro 6 registration info stored? I own a license and would like to install the DiVX Play bundle (using /S switch) and import my license key, so DiVX Pro gets registered.

I'm guessing it's stored in a file, but what file?

Hi,

I installed the DiVX 6 bundle (using /S switch) and registered it.

So, did you find where is the DiVX Pro 6 registration info stored???

In a registry or in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dpl100.dll???

I'm pretty sure it's in dpl100.dll, but did not test yet.

It's NOT
I installed DivX Create Bundle 6.02, regitered it and saved dpl100.dll in case...
Then i Uninstalled it, ran jv16 reg cleaner and erased everything from divx...
Then i reinstall it and i checked the registartion... it's registered!!!

I noticed that during the installation, many files are installed/copied in windows\system32 folder... The question remain entire, Where/What the file or reg are???

You are right. I just did a clean format/install where I copied dpl100.dll to system32 dir after installation, and DiVX 6 pro did not get registered.

Anyone got any ideas?

When you have registered the program look in the HKLM key in the registry, and find something like
CODE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\S3R521
my registration info was in this key.

I installed and registered on one machine, and successfully registered using the reg info on another machine after a clean install.
BoardBabe
did you include any dll files or did you simply just import the registry info under that string?

Installed the program, then imported the registry info, that was it.
BoardBabe
Sweet! I'll give it a shot...
