How do you batch kill a process? I ask because some installers automatically open something after install.

For examplem, I install Eraser with RunOnceEx. Eraser is an award-winning program from here:

http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/

It's an Inno setup installer, so I use these switches:

eraser57.exe /VERYSILENT /SP- /NOCANCEL /NORESTART

After installation, the eraser scheduler comes up, and the next app installs. In addition, these installers all have something automatically run after setup:
  • Adaware - wants to check for updates
  • FamilySearch - opens a Wordpad Readme
I'd like to close these as they open so they don't clutter up the screen during setup. Besides, the internet connection doesn't exist yet, so you can't check for updates. I ran "help" from within cmd, and found no programs to "kill", or close a process.

I appreciate any help in this matter.

Thank you. I'll give those a try!
