nope yu can't, yu don't need to do anything, just push to install winamp into your system, i hve configured it to fully play audio files

And ho do i register this winamp?

the old way, install, go to prefecence>winamp pro and the yu have it, but why to register??there aren't burinig support in my version, so there is no need to register

i got winamp to be about 4.41 mb to silent install all in a sfx rar
and thats full featured too.

what can yu do??? try making your own winamp using adminstudio 6 repackager

just add your "winamp.inf" and "italian.lng" file to self extracting archive. then after winamp is installed, just replace originals with yours and you will get winamp in italian, with your skin and settings. a actually want to add this all to .MSI file direct. by the way, you may add this .REG file for further localisation. you will have context menu on audio file, like "Play in Winamp", "Add to Winamp", "Bookmark" in your native langiage

ehm, i have my lng file, my ini file and i know how to create an sfx archive but not understand how to overwrite after install in automatic these two files, what are the options for that in winrar?

this is a problem with "ALLUSERS=1" "ALLUSERS=2" and "ALLUSERS=" , i don't know witch one to use, now it is with "ALLUSERS="
i can update winamp with other comination of "ALLUSERS" and yu could try to install, if that it ok for yu?

i tested it on my current xp,and it worked(so i hope it will work on UA installation also).mp3,wav files in other accounts also associated with winamp.

nop.i used exe installer,and it worked like charm.
dono abt msi installer.

Please try instlalling it with removing winamp fully. I didn't get any errors installing wihthout remobing old winamp too.

strange.....
installed this exe version yesterday after uninstalling version 5.093
today when I open winamp it switch back to old skin and complains about reinstalling
after several click of no I finally got it working again

exactly this happend with me too.
imean in current account(in which i installed winamp) it worked without any problem.but when i opend it from another account it tried to install something.(it exactly did what pyjo said above)

sorry, no can do is it worth it, i have downloaded alanoll's msi winamp and i have edited it into silent mode(but the size stayed the same).
if i dont have the project alanoll created, these is no need to continue my work

actually ppl like me want winamp as small and simple as possible(ofcourse with dfx and with good skin).and u did good.ur previous version(5.0.9) was also nice.
