I tried installing this the way I have read in the last posts with:

CODE
%cdrom%\Software\SpywareBlaster\spywareblastersetup33.exe /verysilent /NOCANCEL /SP- /NORESTART

funny thing is tho it seems as if they have built in a stop to silently installing, as setup throws me a window which says: spywareblaster doesnt support silent installations, please run the setup file directly.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is this program even worth the hassle, just use spybot and ad-aware? It was recommened to me so I figured id throw it on.

thanks
dman
spywareblaster is definately worth it. spybot and ad-aware are great for cleaning up spyware, but spywareblaster keeps it from getting installed in the first place. even if you don't get it to install silent it is worth the time to install manually.

Ok thanks,

if anyone knows or have a silent version of spywareblaster3.3 please let me know.

Oh i want to know too. Anyway I use Autoit to do it.

And it seems Javacool is developing a Network Installation version. Which is why they stop slient installation. ( Which is pretty stupid to me )
MCT

Maybe a bit off-topic, but I would recommend Hitman pro (freeware).

Hitman pro is one program that has a lot of any spyware tools inside thumbup.gif .

Included are:

- Adaware 6.2
- Spysweeper 3
- Spybot Search & Destroy 1.3
- SpywareBlaster 3.3
- Spyware Block List
- Sysclean Package (virus scan)
- SuperDAT VirusScan (virus scan)

Most programs are freeware. Spysweeper is a 30 day trial.

All programs are run each after another with a autoIT script. (Ofcourse you can choose which programs you want to run)

For now it still is a Dutch program, but an English version will be released shortly.

I have a lot of good experiences with this program thumbup.gif

It can be downloaded here

Just a tad off topic. The guy want's to know how to silently install Spyware Blaster v3.3 and you hype a different program that has nothing to do with Spyware Blaster...

I used Installrite to create a silent install package for Spyware Blaster v3.3. It's a simple program to use and works great on those stubborn installs.

Spyware Blaster is included whistling.gif

i don't like scripts or vbs to silently install softs
you can do that

1)
with the trial version of installshield adminstudio, you can create your own installshield
=>newsoft.exe

2)
in a cmd file, you use the silent switch newsoft.exe /S /v/qn

3)
and if you are crazy, you can put your installshield and the cmd in an exe file with 7zip and startX

tested thumbup.gif
