To be honest i dont think there's a way to.
but what i did with Office 2003 was make a sfx rar file, that gets extracted to HD on a part of my xp install (using xplode), and after the extraction it runs the installation from that folder.
Office 2003 compressed went from 600 or so mb, to 270mb, which along with everything i removed with nlite it fit nicely on a cd.
But i dont have Office XP to see if it's also as compressable as 2003.

First I am going to assume that you have slipstreamed to sp3 yourself, which means you already have your iso in the administrative install format. Then install the "Microsoft Office XP Resource Kit" that is found on your original Office XP cd and create your own .MST file (used for unattened installs and such) Now place that file into your root directory and name it Unttened.MST. Now compress the whole install directory using winRAR and make sure you have checked "Create SFX archive" and "Create Solid archive" and set the compression to "best" also in the comments for the archive put something like this but matching your directory setup

OR what I have found to be A LOT better but WAY more complex is to get Office 2003 and edit the .MSI files for each office component that you acctually use and after you have selected all the components that you want and removed all the ones you dont, run the administrative install, for Word for example "msiexec.exe /a word11.msi" and it will create a folder with only the files you need for the components you want, and you can compress that further with winRAR. doing this I can get word 2003 to about 37MB and excel 2003 to less than 25MB all custom installed.

I'd have to say if you use more than 3-4 of the six parts of office xp it may not be worth all the time and effort to remove the files unless you are REALLY tight on space. The method I use for Office 2003 is very time consuming at first and it can take several times of editing/rebuilding the .msi file before you get your install to the point that you want without errors. But if you really want to give editing the .msi's a try i sugest you get InstallShieldX Premier (InstallShieldXSP2PremierEval.exe) from http://www.installshield.com/products/x/ you can use it as trial software... otherwise its VERY VERY expensive.
Well, its perfectly possible to shrink Office XP/2003 to fit into a CD. Just need to shrink it to install only the components that you DO install.

Just curious is it possible to winrar/sfx each prog of the of AIO office 2003 cds.
Why I ask is after having slipstreamed the service packs & updated these five programs after optimization its around 900mb not that its a prob but would like to further reduce to fit a cd. With my current AIO office disk it has a setup.exe that calls each prog would I need to add a comment to winrar to run the archive to start each setup.exe in each office prog if so could you suggest an example, hope you can understand where Im coming from.

It really gets difficult to put all 5 CDs of Office2003 in one AIO disk, after slip-streaming SP1 - as you already did find out. The simplest thing to do, would of course be to use a DVD.
The *NEXT* simplest thing to do, would be to make a single SFX archive of the entire 5 CDs set (because only then you can save space - otherwise you're back to where you started). This SFX can extract itself to %temp% folder, and then call your CD-autorun. This autorun can then call the setup of the component you want to install (eg: onenote, visio, etc.). Using this method, the AIO went down from 900-odd MB (optimized ISO) to 630 MB (rarred/SFX).
..... But while this approach simplifies the making for you, it makes the CD very difficult to use, as the user will have to ensure atleast 3 GB of free space on the C: partition, and then delete the extracted folder after the setup is completed.
More complex possibilities exist, which we wouldn't want to try, simply due to paucity of time.
