Is it possible to install BlackIce silently? I've tried to do it by using the installshield method, but it doesn't seem to work.

ISS says that it's only possible to install silently with the "Pro" version. I've only seen the "PC Protection" and the "Server Protection" versions on the web.
Does anyone know what the "Pro" version is?

Here is the line from th e RunOnceEx.cmd:

QUOTE
REG ADD %KEY%\011 /VE /D "BlackIce PC Protection" /f

REG ADD %KEY%\011 /V 1 /D "%cdrom%\install\blackice\setup.exe -s" /f

I've also attached the setup.iss file

do this, go to http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications.htm and download InstallRight it will install ANY program silently , it recreates a .exe of the program, choose silent installs, and dont reboot, and just a simple

start /wait programname.exe (no switches required if u chose silent install from within the program)

Well!

I had a problem about AP, not iss.

iss file worked fine for me. As mediatx said here, BI can be configured well via ini files, but not for installation as I think.

However, I can give you my iss, but what version do you use?

i don't know wich version it is. I think it is the 2.9 version that i have patched afterwards.

To know the version, install it first, then go to: Help --> About BlackICE.

The version is what's written next to the word "Product".

anyone knows how to silently install blackice server protection v3.6.cnj using online update update.exe?

the update.exe works fine when manually install, but i cant find any setup.iss with -R argument. then i extract it using WinRAR, run disk1/setup.exe -R, yes the setup.iss appears in %SystemRoot%, but it never accept my key.
it's wired that key was correct when i install from update.exe, but failed when install from extracted setup.exe.

anyone knows how to silently install using update.exe?
