Small problem with the NAR 1.24
I noticed that if you use the option "select languages to remove" leaving only the Italian, when I start the executable file Nero.exe, it starts to settle, then at some point the installation stops.
Instead doing the test without touching the "select languages" the file is installed properly.
You can solve this problem?

i proved it good software work fine with the beta but i did it the sfx package with 7z to reduce from 230 to 187 mg so i safe like 50 mg of space.

How do you mean normally? Like from WPI?

I knew that, I think I just read it wrong. You just double click it, it is a silent install so you wont be able to see any windows.
It's possible to build a "normal" reduced installer like the Nero Lite packs on www.updatepack.nl, with your Remover?

It's strange that you can't understand what he asks. He don't want silent install. He just wants regular/normal install, with installer visible, where he can choose options, location...

Ahhhh, Sorry I didnt understand you, you could have said 'with the window showing' . When you are about to build the SFX, go to the folder where NAR is. Open up config.txt and remove the /q from the command line. Then save and exit config.txt, click the build SFX button.

Hi again, finally works your extraction program
. It didn't work for me because i had not istalled the 7-Zip xD. Then, install the 7-Zip and i rerun your program and now, it works . Then, i use the NAR application (v1.2.4) for customize the Nero 9.2.6.0 package downloaded for Nero FTP. Finally, i create the SFX file and the weight is around of 115 MB. Then, i execute the installer, i put the serial number and now, thanks of god!! xD, it appears the program on the list (before this don't happen). I select all the applications of the list and the installation starts. in 70% generally, the installer stops and i don't know why (I know the error that stops the installation. I don't know why this error happens. The error is "The installation don't go on. Some applications were installed and it able to use. Do you wish to uninstall this applications?")
. If i cancel the installation of the Cancel botton, the programs are installed until this moment it has been erased. But, i close the installation by "Crtl + Alt + Supr", the Nero already left installed on disk. Why? Thanks for your support and i sorry for my poor english.

What does def.exe and that reg string from within the archive's comment do?
def.exe is a program that adds the default language to the registry.
What to do?! Has created the distribution kit by means of NAR-Beta (tried to leave and one component and all!). After its start, in an installation time I see:

Excuse for my English, at installation progress bar some times jumps 55-58-59-55-58-59%... And as a result on 55% produces an error: "the installation process cannot be resumed. A rollback of the failed component will be performed. Some applications have been installed succesfully and can be used. Do you want these applications to be uninstalled?"

Ok I have an idea. Right before you are going to click 'create SFX' go to where NAR is and open config.txt. Search for the word 'REMOVEAPP' and replace it with 'EXCLUDEAPP' (without the quotes), then build the installer. It might work, it might not.

My procedure was to unzip the self-generated files and add the Windows taskbar and then I did again with WinRAR self, inserting the remarks contained in the file Config.txt.

Perhaps Windows applications should not be removed?

Pending further developments, I tried a different solution, to run the latest release of Nero (9.4.13.2)
After running the tool of the NAR, which works very well, without creating the self, I copied everything into the other folder and file via batch, I used the command silent without signs of applications removed.
This procedure works with the 9.4.13.2 release.

Yes it does.
Applications that do not concern have been removed with the tool without creating the self.
Then in the command silent you can avoid including the instructions of the application removed.

Using the magnificent NAR I used an alternative method but works with Nero 9.4.13.2

Nice one there DMD61, I have some time this week to work on NAR, so there will be a lot of updates (hopefully), I am also working on another Nero tool rite now.

I have the same problem as someone I just read on the first page; when run, SetupX.exe and a few other processes launch in Task Manager, but after a short period nothing gets installed. Since it turns to an SFX archive with an .exe extension, I used the start /wait command and got to the above described result. Any help?

Hello, I haven't looked at NAR for a while. Nero has such a screwy installer, it generates so many errors for a range of computers. So I'm thinking of make a whole new program. Hang tight.

WTF is going on with this?? it takes the 370MB Nero Installer file and INCREASES it to 956MB AFTER taking things out!!!
Also, when double clicking the created Nero.exe rar-ed file, i get the "Windows cannot find Setupx.exe. Make sure you have typed the name correctly etc... flip this, i will use my own methods to install it, at least then Ill know whats being added & what isnt!!!
