Just a suggestion to the author: The header and footer of your app really get in the way. Maybe you could just remove them (at least the footer. It is useless).
And i have a suggestion about the tab controls. You could make them the same size and just keep the other controls in top of them so your program looks better by displaying the same container. This way the overall look is improved.

Oh, i forgot. The splash-screen is a little bit annoying too.

I just gave it a go, but it crashed when Resource Hacker was called. Also, with the previous RC, the strings weren't replaced in the SFX while the icon was replaced.
BTW, could you give me a hint on how to edit the Version Info strings via commandline with ResHack?

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the crash anymore. Also I don't think the strings thing is fixed. See the screenshots.

What OS are you using (including SP) and which processor architecture ?

Vista Business SP2 v.286 (happens also on SP1), Core 2 Quad Q6600.

MSI and 7-zip SFX installers are *two different* thing

If you are requesting an option to create a switchless installer from a MSI Input installer, this is already available.
If you want your switchless installer to be a MSI, sorry to disappoint you, but it's not possible because MSI is not open-sourced. And btw, the name is "SFXMaker" not "MSIMaker"

Can someone confirm if Edit Strings actually works. Some users reported me it works, some that it doesn't. Also, please post your Processor Architecture and Operating System.

Edit strings not working, it had never worked for me always says "The version is not correctly introduced.please re-type it." While i know that the entries are correct.

The version must be if this type : "0.0.0.0" It must contain 3 dots and four integer values. That is why you get that error

That happened in earlier version than 1.2 Final when 7zs.sfx was missing. However, i fixed this in 1.2 Final. Can you check plugins folder one more time ?

well this is a fantastic app! so far lovin it, however havin a slight issue when tryin to use it to do a silent installer of office 2003.
It goes through ok, then when it gets to the final point of "changing icons & strings" i get an AutoIT error, stating "error allocating memory"
Any ideas?!

Just did a test and it worked fine for me. How much amount of RAM do you have ? Which is the size of your virtual memory ?
When SFXMaker changes the icon and the RT_VERSION strings, it opens the file(switchless installer) for writing and searches for binary raw data to replace. Icon is replaced succesfully (it is done via ResHacker) and the problem you have seems to be with the strings. I'll see what i can do about it

You have to select the file you want to create a switchless installer for, specify the switches and a path for the switchless installer basically. Anyway, i write a manual for the next version.
