since u're making a msi file you could put registry keys in there
and according to the user selected types they can individually be imported to the registry

did you fix the file assosiations?
if not i made a reg file with the most important file assosiations. perhaps you'll need to fix the paths. (i've got german named paths)
Alanoll
Dec 15 2003, 10:23 AM
the file associations should work fine.
Nothing in the install is definate. It all uses variables like {ProgramFiles} to get the right directory, and [#winamp.exe] to get the right paths and what not.

I just downloaded winamp 5:
http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client/winamp50_full.exehttp://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client/winamp50_pro.exeIt has a classic skin if you like the 2.xx type. The thing though is i think it installs the aol advertising by default, i dont think you can disable that. It would be nice if someone could repackage it w/o the advertising and crap.

Where can I download a repackaged version of Winamp to use with my unattended install ?
I would prefer the 2.91 version ... even WinAmp 5.0 is fine.
Could someone please give me a link and all the links in the earlier posts seems to be dead.
Or could someone email it to me ? -> sinizter @ lorquis.net
And what switches would I have to use with it ?
Cheers for any replies.

Hi,
Was wondering, does anybody else get the following error message when starting WinAmp 5.02? I used the msi file made by Alanoll.
This application has failed to start because PX.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just downloaded the .msi from XtremeMaC's site and same error, can't find the file PX.dll.
Also, no shortcuts created in the startmenu..

they want the 2.91 MSI. Of which, I no longer have, and your ONLY hope of getting the original is if someone still has it somewhere. I do not.
