Hi everybody,

I did not find anything about VISE installer around here. So i made my way to find out how to install tools and programs using VISE unattended.

I found the answer in the offical documentation of Mindvision (Chapter 20) "Automating Installations".

Just do an installation of this tool or program you want to use on a clean machine using this command:

CODE
setup.exe -r: recsettings.ini

make your type of installation complete and you'll find the recsettings.ini in same directory as setup.exe

Now you can do unattended installations with VISE installer using this command:

CODE
setup.exe -p: recsettings.ini

This works fine for DivX Codec Standard (tested with 5.1 & 5.1.1). Quicktime does not support these swichtes. Perhaps it is diabled. But for QuickTime you can use the method mentioned in this thread.

How can you find out setup is using mindvisions VISE installer:

Start your installation file, open Explorer and change to %Temp% if you can find a folder called ~vise0000 or something similar to this you can be sure setup is using VISE installer. You can also look for a file called "vise32ex.dll" inside the ~vise**** directory to make sure setup is using VISE.

OK. I hope i helped anyone with these hints. In the official documentation you can find some more switches for installation.

AronXP you can feel free to add this to Unattended Guide\Applications\Install Types.
